Nurturing the local music culture by providing an intimate environment in which to listen to, meet and collaborate with musicians from the local, domestic and international scene.

To spark or re-ignite an interest in musical traditions, genres and experiments that receive little support within the cultural landscape.

To provide a functional music venue when very few spaces remain for contemporary improvised music, classical music from all traditions, songwriters, cultural crossover projects and other jazz-adjacent music.

To pay artists as fairly as possible, and to protect a ticketed, non-rental model when most other venues can only be accessed through high rental payments.

To provide a distraction-free, family friendly and immersive listening environment in which artists feel respected and heard.
